2018 Intro to Shooting Sports

for Women

This is an instructional  shooting clinic for women.

The   clinic provides an opportunity for women to learn about firearms and to gain confidence in newly-acquired skills. During the program you will learn:

  • A sport you'll enjoy for a lifetime
  • Safe firearms handling
  • How to store your firearms safely
  • To shoot a handgun, rifle, shotgun, and bow

Cost: The registration fee is $35.00 and includes the use of firearms, all ammunition, targets, shooting supplies, snacks, beverages, and lunch.

You must be 18 years or older.

This event is open to the public. Preregistration is required and is limited to 32 women.

Civilian Marksmanship Program

These shoots are designed to be instructional in nature and give the shooter various shooting scenarios.

  • Stage 1 - 10 rounds, offhand position, time limit of 13 minutes
  • Stage 2 - 10 rounds, rapid fire, sitting position, with a clip change, time limit of 60 seconds
  • Stage 3 - 10 rounds, rapid fire, prone position, with a clip change, time limit 70 seconds
  • Stage 4 - 20 rounds, prone position, time limit 23 minutes

High-powered rifles with open sights are permitted to participate. You should bring a minimum of 60 rounds for the event. All targets are set at 100 yards.

The cost is $5.00 for the day to cover expenses.

The event is open to the public.
